Kevin Lidgard
Head of Marinas
Previously the Marina Manager of Westhaven, Kevin now looks after all Auckland Council operated marinas including Westhaven, Auckland Central and Silo. Kevin has a long history in the marine industry including a two-year stint as General Manager of Polaris Marine in Sydney. His wealth of knowledge will help drive major refurbishment works and facility improvements.
Gareth Wilson
Marinas Manager
Gareth Wilson comes from an Auckland boat building family and is the son of Bob Wilson of Brin Wilson Boats. He kick-started his superyacht career as a crew member on a Auckland Central Marina-based vessel in 1999. After living in Spain for several years, Gareth returned to New Zealand to work in the Bayswater Marina’s Operations Team where he worked his way up to Marina Manager. Gareth is one of New Zealand’s few Certified Marina Managers and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
David Marginet
Marinas Operations Quality Manager
David started his career in the marine industry as captain of one of the most sought-after superyachts in Barcelona. He joined Westhaven Marina in 2017, progressing through different roles he is now the Operations Quality Manager Marinas, ensuring smooth-running marinas and ensuring that all marinas users get the best experience possible.
Mike Keown
Marinas Asset Manager
Mike Keown comes to us from Gulf Harbour Marina, which he managed for four years. Originally from Liverpool in the United Kingdom, Mike found his love of sailing in the Scottish islands. He has worked in various countries in the maritime industry for over 20 years, including as a sailing instructor in Greece, a superyacht skipper in Miami, and has experience in most marina roles from dockmaster through to marina manager. His current role involves making sure that Westhaven, Silo and Auckland Central marinas are well maintained and developed to an excellent standard for boaties and visitors to enjoy.
Matt Young
Marinas Systems Manager
Matt has a long and varied history within the IT sector, primarily in software development. Matt joined the marina team towards the end of 2019, to help with the implementation of Pacsoft's Marina Management System (MMS/NG), staying on afterwards to provide ongoing user support and help look after systems.
Ryan White
Marinas Operations and Compliance Team Leader
Ryan has been part of the marinas team for more than nine years after spending time overseas working and travelling. His marine industry experience includes superyacht crewing in Alaska, charter cruises on the Great Barrier Reef, and work on car ferries servicing the Isle of Wight. After starting at Westhaven Marina, Ryan moved to Auckland Central and Silo marinas, where he held the role of senior commercial and marinas coordinator from 2020 until early 2026. In his current role as marinas operations and compliance team leader, Ryan oversees day-to-day operations at Auckland Central and Silo marinas, while leading key focus areas including Maritime New Zealand compliance, Port of First Arrival requirements, and health and safety across Westhaven, Auckland Central and Silo marinas.
Harriet Dennison
Marinas Marketing and Business Improvement Lead
Originally from the United Kingdom, Harriet moved to New Zealand in 2020 after working in administrative roles in both London and Sydney. Since joining the marinas team, she has built strong experience across marina operations, customer service and stakeholder engagement, while developing a keen interest in boating and life on the water. After three years as Auckland Central and Silo marinas office coordinator, Harriet has moved into the newly created role of marinas marketing and business improvement lead, working across Westhaven, Auckland Central and Silo marinas on marketing initiatives, business development and continuous improvement projects.
Kiara Hamilton
Commercial and Marina Operations Coordinator
Kiara worked across Auckland Central, Silo and Westhaven marinas for 2 years as a Marine Cadet learning her trade. In 2023, Kiara moved to her current role as Commercial and Marina Operations Coordinator after she successfully completed her Marina Cadetship Programme. She has a huge passion for sailing and spent many years in young mariners. You’ll see Kiara around the marinas checking the day-to-day operations of the marina are running smoothly.
Georgia Dresner
Marinas Senior Operations Administrator
Originally from Tauranga, Georgia moved to Auckland several years ago and has been immersed in maritime life ever since. Growing up sailing with her family and racing for fun, she developed a strong passion for the water, later gaining valuable industry experience working onboard Fullers360 ferries. After joining the marinas team as a marina operations cadet in 2025, Georgia has stepped into the role of marinas senior operations administrator, supporting Auckland Central and Silo marinas. She is the key point of contact for general enquiries, berth bookings and account queries.
Jasper Camenzind
Marina Operations Cadet
Jasper joined our marinas as our newest cadet in November 2025. He brings experience in composite boatbuilding in Switzerland and with Emirates Team New Zealand in Auckland. Jasper is also the 2025 New Zealand WASZP National Champion and currently ranked eighth in the world in this technical foiling dinghy class. He is excited to expand his knowledge through this cadetship and looks forward to exploring the many opportunities the marina industry has to offer.
