New clean hull policy

Roberton Island, pictures is one of the most beautiful islands in one of the most beautiful cruising destinations in the world.

By taking steps to ensure your hull is clean, you can help ensure it remains that way for future generations.

From May 2018, all commercial and recreational vessels arriving in New Zealand will need to have a clean hull, and have the documentation to prove it.

The thresholds for what constitutes a clean hull is dependent on a vessel’s itinerary

If you are a local vessel cruising between regions, you'll also need to ensure your hull is checked and clean before you head away. Visit www.marinepests.nz to access information about requirements requested by the specific marinas and regions you might visit.
