Advanced Marina Management course

Auckland Central and Silo marinas team member Ryan White has recently completed the Advanced Marina Management (AMM) course through the Marina Industries Association.

The AMM is an intensive five-day programme designed for marina professionals looking to strengthen their leadership, strategic, and operational management skills. The course culminates in a practical marina redevelopment project and provides valuable insights across all aspects of marina management – from financial planning and environmental management to marketing, marina design, redevelopment, construction, and team leadership.

This achievement marks an important step in Ryan’s ongoing professional development and reflects our team’s continued commitment to best practice across our marinas.

Meet our new team member

We’re pleased to welcome Gretta Mcintosh (pictured below) to our customer service team this month. Originally from the South Island, Gretta brings experience across a range of customer service roles. Since moving to Auckland, she’s been enjoying exploring the region and is especially delighted by the variety of native birds found here. It’s great to have Gretta on board – feel free to say hi if you see her around the marinas!

Cadet programme update

We’re happy to share that Adrian Naicker has recently completed his marina cadetship. Since joining the programme in August 2023, Adrian has gained valuable experience across our marinas, developing strong technical and operational skills along the way. He’s now joined Westhaven Marina’s maintenance team, where he’ll continue to build on the experience he’s gained through the programme.

With Adrian moving into his new role, we’re now in the process of recruiting our next marina cadet. Interviews are about to take place, and we look forward to welcoming a new trainee soon to continue growing the next generation of marina professionals.
